More Adventures in Yosemite!- Day 11

Our day yesterday started out a bit rough. Apparently our tent is not as waterproof as we thought! The rain found it's way into our tent and we woke up cold and wet! We spent a good part of the morning drying everything out. Sadly the tent now has a "wet dog" smell.

Our day started to get better when we met the French couple we met at Antelope Canyon for coffee.
We spent the time laughing and sharing stories. We had such a great time! Meeting them has definitely been a highlight of our trip and we are excited to continue the friendship!

After we could no longer laugh, we decided to part ways. Our friends got ready to hop on a plane to New York City and we went off to further explore Yosemite.

We drove up to Glacier Point where we were able to see a spectacular view of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and Bridalveil Falls.

It was breathtaking.

We even found fellow Ohioians to take our picture!

After Glacier Point we drove through this tunnel to get to the Valley floor of Yosemite.

This was the view on the other end.

Truly breathtaking!

Yosemite was so beautiful and we were excited to get back to our campsite to plan our next day at the park. When we got back to our site we decided to give another try at "hobo dinner" since we had leftover potatoes, onions, and carrots.

I am pleased to announced that it turned out nicely!

We were so happy that we were able to redeem ourselves. It was good to have a nice meal.

After dinner we made s'mores!

So yummy!

While we were enjoying out s'mores, we met a retired couple from New Hampshire. They are on a 3 month long road trip. They put our trip to shame! It was nice meeting them and talking with them. We found it very impressive that they drove even further than we did!

Today we hiked at Yosemite! I will write more on that tomorrow! Tomorrow we are off to Zion!
