Matt got a picture with this car before leaving.
And so did I!
We stopped in downtown LA to check out this bookstore. "The Last Bookstore"
This is the inside of the store. It was a large, two story store. It was decorated with book artwork and old furniture.
Upstairs was the Labyrinth, this is where the fun started!

And the mystery novels were kept in an old safe, indicating that the store used to be a bank. Matt noticed that the safe was made in Hamilton, Ohio!
In the back was a large section where all the books were a dollar!

After the bookstore we decided to check out Hollywood Blvd!
We saw the Dolby Theater!
And the home of famous handprints!
We even got a picture of the Hollywood sign!
After Hollywood Blvd we went to Malibu! On the way to Malibu we saw a number of expensive cars and houses! Matt was very excited to see all of the Teslas driving around. At one point we saw a street legal Indy car driving down the road, proof that someone has too much money!
When we reached Malibu we decided to sit out on the beach! It was so chilly and windy! We sat in long pants and sweaters as our faces were pelted with sand! It wasn't our ideal beach experience and we didn't stay long!
Matt ordered fish tacos.
After dinner, we explored the beach by the restaurant for a bit.
And a waitress took out picture!
After dinner, we drove up the beach to watch the sunset.
It was beautiful!
And a perfect ending to a fun-filled day!
Today we are off to Sequioa National Park! We are excited to see some big trees!
