I would like to apologize in advance for any weird formatting, bad grammar, or misspelled words. I'm posting this from my phone in a moving car so please be forgiving!
We did get one picture of Matt being Matt! :)
Matt really wanted to go to the top of the Arch, I wasn't as enthusiastic but I decided to face my fears and do it anyways! I was doing somewhat okay until the door to the car opened that would take us up.
I think both of our mouths dropped when the door opened. It was TINY and 5 people had to fit in it! And be closed up in it for about 5 minutes until we reached the top! I thought I was going to die but Matt was a good sport, chatting it up and getting acquainted with our fellow sardines.
We made it to the top! 630 feet from the ground! Ahhhh!
After putting our feet on the ground, we drove around for an hour or so exploring the city. Matt suggested a restaurant that he went to with his A cappela group by Washington University!
It's called Pi's Pizzeria and I'm so glad we went!
The inside was decorated really cute and eclectic.
Here's a picture of the delishness. It was a deep dish pizza but the crust wasn't super thick, it just came up on the sides, and the crust was corn based. It was built backwards with the cheese on the bottom and a chunky tomatoe sauce on top. It's definitely a must stop in St.Louis!
After eating our full of pizza we made it to our campsite
It was freezing cold so we decided to just stay in the car. But at least we knew we were in a safe location and we had a place to shower the next day!
Today we begin our journey on Route 66! What should we be sure to see?
